Gerunds and Infinitives — Course Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to say:

finish sentences beginning with a prompt in an appropriate, logical way using either an INFINITIVE clause or a

complete sentences using an appropriate INFINITIVE verb
complete sentences using the correct past tense form of a given infinitive or gerund
correct sentences containing errors in the use of gerunds or infinitives
combine two given sentences into one sentence using the POSSESSIVE + GERUND construction learned in this block
select the verb form that best fits a given sentence, based on the context
finish sentences beginning with a prompt in an appropriate, logical way using causative verbs
write a comment in response to an online article about a controversial issue (i.e. gun laws, refugees, death
penalty, doctor-assisted suicide) using the grammar principles for gerunds and infinitives presented in this block
write a description of a favorite place (out in nature, at the beach, at a dance party, in class, etc), using at least
4 verbs of perception (see, hear, taste, smell, feel, etc.) with GERUNDS or INFINITIVES
write a description of an unexpected event or some unexpected news, using at least 4 adjectives with either an
INFINITIVE or a PREPOSITION + GERUND
